Project Overview
Capit managed the relocation of a historic Damascus room, dating back several centuries, from Saida, Lebanon to the Ithra Museum in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Composed of intricately carved wooden wall and ceiling panels, the room demanded the highest level of precision. Facing challenging circumstances in Lebanon and significant time constraints, the team conducted detailed site assessments, developed a precise digital replica of the entire structure, and engineered a custom support chassis and packing system to secure each element. A deviation of a single centimetre could have compromised reconstruction; the transfer was completed with the room's integrity intact.
